Nebraska VR is committed to reaching all Nebraska residents who experience disabilities and seeks opportunities to improve services. To that end, Nebraska VR adopted the use of Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) from Deaf Services Unlimited and the Language Line. The convenient on demand services via an iPad, tablet, laptop, or other computer addresses the need for readily available interpreters, particularly for drop in clients. As a state government early adopter, Nebraska VR can provide a better client experience to individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing.
It is the policy of the Nebraska Department of Education not to discriminate on the basis of gender, disability, race, color, religion, marital status, age, national origin or genetic information in its education programs, administration, policies, employment or other agency programs.
